Boarding

There are separate boarding houses for boys and girls arranged by age groups. The youngest boarders have an ayah sleeping in their house, whereas the senior Girls are under the care of a resident housemistress and house tutor; and the senior boys under care of a resident housemaster.

The more senior pupils sleep in study bedrooms while the younger pupils sleep in dormitories. As well as the resident staff there is always one fully qualified nurse sleeping on campus each night. The overall pastoral care is in the hand of Deputy Headmistress.

Half Terms

There is half term break each term. Normally this is a short break consisting of the weekend plus Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday plus weekend.

At half term the school closes in order to give the staff a break. For this reason we do ask that overseas student have a guardian in this country should they not be able to go home. For pupils unable to go home or go to a guardian we normally arrange a varied camping trip. However, parents are charged for this.
